Giving my point and shoot camera some love...

I love these pictures, I would have posted more but I didn't want to post to many :) All these pictures were taken with my Kodak Easyshare camera. I loved this camera, it no longer works because it went for a swim one time at the beach saving Leyla from a wave. Most pictures that are in our home are images that I have taken with that camera.

Lately I have been getting some emails telling me that "your camera takes nice pictures" or "wow you must have a really expensive camera". Well I do have a very nice camera...it is old though in camera years, it's 2 years old now. But my camera doesn't take the picture, it may reserve what I saw at that very moment but it doesn't think on it's own. It doesn't sing silly songs to little ones to make them laugh or play peek-a-boo. It is a tool that helps me capture a single second of time, that is it.

Yes, my pictures are much sharper now with a camera that has more mega pixels than that point and shoot I used to use. I can also take multiple pictures to get great sequence shots. But by no means does having a nice camera give you great pictures, just ask my husband who challenged me one day. There are little point and shoot cameras out right now that have more mega pixels than my SLR. I now have a little canon power shot camera. I love it, it comes everywhere with me (seriously it's in my purse everyday). I don't lug around my heavy SLR, I take my little camera and I love it. I know that I can take a great picture with it. I don't need my big camera to do that.

All of this began as a simple love of capturing every moment of my daughters life and it has turned into more than just a passion of mine, it's my life. For me, I believe what I have is a gift. I think God blesses each one of us with a talent and it is up to us to find it and to use it. I think this is what he had in store for me and I hope to do great things with it...may we all find what God has in store for us.

My little girl...

I just can't believe how big she is! I am so blessed to be her momma, I could not have asked for a greater gift in my life than to have her.

I've been having fun...

I really do have the most adorable clients...

I have to share one...can't take it!

I have a fun project that I am working on...can't wait to share it with everyone. So here is just a teaser, so many more to come :)

Skye's workshop...

I had the most AMAZING time at Skye's workshop. The workshop was so inspirational and refreshing. I met some wonderful and very talented ladies that weekend who I plan on keeping in touch with forever.
We had some very cute little models, they weren't professional models but certainly could be!

I can't believe he is turning 2 next month....

I love this little guy! We had a fun time on our little adventure yesterday looking for a fun spot. He loves trains so we knew we wanted to find a location that he would be into. He was in train heaven!

Just a reminder if you are wanting to book a session with me, better book it fast! My weekends are full till mid November ( I only have one Saturday & Sunday left) and my weekdays are filling up too. The holiday season is definitely here!
